160 million people live in Bangladesh. Extreme poverty and cheap labour have made the country one of the world’s major clothes producers. The large population means that Bangladesh can compete with countries such as China, India and Sri Lanka. But overpopulation also means that the country is extremely vulnerable when natural catastrophes hit.
