The Liberal Party is welcome back into negotiations with Finance Minister Bjarne Corydon regarding a tax reform.

“The Liberals are welcome. We haven’t thrown them out. They have been busy trying to find explanations as to why they don’t want to continue discussions with us. My door is very open,” Corydon says.

“What Lars Løkke Rasmussen and I use our mobile numbers for is between us. I have been in contact with him, but it remains between us when and how we communicate,” Corydon adds, but declines to say whether he has been in contact with the Liberal leader since he left for Michigan and Rio de Janeiro.

“We have given the Liberals a concrete offer. And I have heard from a lot of people – businesses, commentators and experts – that it would be good for society to move forward with what we have put on the table,” the finance minister says.

Earlier today the Liberal Alliance put forward a proposal supported by the Conservative Party for 0.8 per cent public growth.
