What appears to have been an accident between a bus and another vehicle in Ikast, caused the bus to plough into a home for the elderly on Friday morning.

Five people were injured in the accident, but none seriously according to the Central and Western Jutland police spokesman.

“(Those injured are) the bus driver, the driver of the car and perhaps some of those in the home,” Spokesman Kjeld Nedergaard says.

According to aoh.dk, the Arriva bus had only a few passengers on board at the time of the accident.

“We are now waiting for the vehicle inspectors to come and investigate,” Nedergaard says.

Police have cordoned off a 50 metre stretch on both sides of the Grønneparken home as there are fears that parts of the building may collapse when the bus is drawn out of the home.
