London’s Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea will have a royal visit in 20 minutes when Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik graces Notting Hill as he relays the Olympic flame through the West London area.

At about 16.20 London time, the Danish Crown Prince will be running the flame some 360 metres from Ladbroke Grove through Notting Hill Gate to pass the flame on to the next runner at Hillgate Street.

It is not the first time that Frederik has taken part on the Olympic Flame Relay. The last time was in 1994 when the flame passed through Denmark on its way to the Lillehammer Winter Olympics.

Crown Prince Frederik is in London to take part in International Olympic Committee meetings prior to this year’s summer Olympics, which begin tomorrow.
