Two 17-year-olds, who were apparently trying to catch a train at Gadstrup Station by sprinting across tracks, have been injured after being hit by the train, according to the police.

The young man and woman are said to be in a stable condition.

“We arrived to find that two people had tried to cross the tracks to catch a train. They ran over the tracks as the train was pulling into the station and were hit,” Duty Officer Simon Schwaner ytells politiken.dk.

The Flying Doctor is at the scene, and one of the two may be moved to a hospital.

Gadstrup Station is on the local Roskilde to Næstved via Køge line. Mainline services to Jutland are not affected.
