Central and West Jutland Police have appealed to the public for help in determining what happened to a 36-year-old woman who was found dead in the water off the emergency road near Hanstholm.

Police are particularly seeking the help of the driver of a large, black vehicle which was parked at the beach at around 1.30 p.m. on Sunday, and a group of five to seven people with an Alsatian dog who were walking along the beach on Sunday afternoon.

Police are interested in hearing from anyone who was at the beach or parking lots along the emergency road between noon and 1.30 p.m. on Sunday.

The appeal has been issued following the discovery of a dead woman in the sea. She was wearing trousers and a brassiere, but the rest of her clothes appear to have disappeared.

The Burmese woman was staying at the Vigsø Bugt Holiday Centre with her family and had told her husband and children that she was going to do the washing.

Some hours later she was found in the sea. Facial injuries may have been caused by stones in the water.

But police are unable to explain her missing clothes – a beige-coloured jacket, darker T-shirt and shoes.
