The weekend weather promises to be a windy and wet affair, although there will be some sunny periods.

But first of all, today promises to be a particularly windy day.

A low pressure system will be moving across Denmark from the west this afternoon dumping rain on southern and eastern regions, pumping up the wind as it passes.

“As it develops over the Baltic, Bornholm may be getting strong gales,” says DMI Duty Officer Tine Zeuthen adding the rest of the country can expect windy autumnal weather.

By Saturday morning, the worst of the stormy weather will have passed, with sunny periods in some places, but also rain and relatively strong winds. Wind speeds will pick up again on Sunday, however, but with fewer showers.
