A supply vehicle from Charlie Company was hit by an improvised explosive device, severely injuring a soldier who was declared dead on arrival at the Camp Bastion Field Hospital, according to a statement from the Army Operative Command (HOK).

Support
”We have unfortunately lost another serving soldier in Helmand Province. This is a harsh and unreasonable event for the soldier’s family and friends. We will of course support them as best we can… It is also a hard blow for the Danish soldiers who have just taken over the area and have to live with the loss of a good comrade,” says HOK head Poul Kiærskou.
