Denmark’s Minister for Justice Brian Mikkelsen is preparing to put forward an urgent package to help authorities deal with an increasing armed conflict between the Hells Angels and immigrant gangs.

According to Politiken’s information, the package, which has been developed following discussions between the ministry, the National Police Commissioner’s office and the Copenhagen Police, may be announced today and will include proposals to adjust legislation.

“It’s obvious that the current situation is untenable and requires extraordinary measures,” Justice Minister Brian Mikkelsen says in an e-mail to Politiken although he declined to disclose the contents of the package.
