Medium-priced restaurants in Copenhagen: Kødbyens Fiskebar

The newly-opened fish bar in The White Meat Market has food prices to make it attractive to any landlubber.

A typical main course at Kødbyens Fiskebar costs DKK 150 and a wide range of other small courses are on offer at DKK 50, DKK 75 or DKK 100.

Among those behind the new fish restaurant, which is elegantly furnished in its rustic premises, is Anders Selmer, the former director of Michelin-starred restaurant Noma. As things stand, it seems that his new project is a great hit among those who swear to raw fish, shellfish, lobster, oysters and sea urchin.

One thing is certain Copenhageners have thronged to the new ‘non-elitist’ fish bar since it opened in mid-June.
