The inspiration for the café was the 1930s.

There aren’t many other cafés in Copenhagen that have painstakingly paid so much attention to design that it is reminiscent of a time when people still said ‘vous’ and danced to Duke Ellington.

Granola has style. When you order a cup of coffee – from your table of course – it’s served offhand on a little tray with a biscuit. So it may be that the surroundings are thoroughly designed and almost ornamental, but you feel at home as soon as you get into the premises – and the food is worth coming back for.

On weekdays, Granola opens at seven in the morning, and as the café is closed in the evening, it has specialised in a large choice of food for the earlybirds.

The menu offers, among other delicacies, croque monsieur, foie gras, stewed fruit and various salads, sandwiches and homemade cakes.

Café Granola, Værnedamsvej 5, 2000 Frederiksberg, Open Mon-Thu 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Fri 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Sat 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
