A lust for adventure proved too much at Copenhagen Airport for a three-year-old lad who was due to travel with his mother.

While she was checking in, he went exploring and crawled onto a baggage-handling conveyor belt at a nearby desk – and joined rucksacks, suitcases and other chattel on its way for automatic security checks and sorting.

According to Ekstra Bladet, the automated trip also went through X-ray machines designed to study baggage, before diverting the young lad to an area reserved for unrecognizable effects.

Without a bar-code readable label, he was sent on to the area reserved for manual handling.

The adventure ended when an airport worker finally found the young boy and gently lifted him off the conveyor system. Unharmed by his trip through the innards of the airport conveyor system, the boy was handed back to his mother.

Mum and son managed to catch their flight.
