Some 330 employees of Sauer-Danfoss are to be laid off, according to JydskeVestkysten in a report that has not yet been confirmed by the company.

“We want to inform our employees today and there will be a news release tomorrow at 11 a.m.” Communications Assistant Anette A Bütikofer told politiken.dk.

Third round
The layoffs are the third major round of layoffs at Sauer-Danfoss in a year. 190 were laid off last October and a further 400 were laid off in January this year.

According to the reports, 320 of the layoffs due to be announced tomorrow will take place at the Nordborg facility on the island of Als.

Sauer-Danfoss is part of the Sauer-Danfoss Group and produces a wide range of hydraulic and electronic components to manufacturers of mobile machines within agriculture and the construction industry. Sauer-Danfoss is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. According to the company home page, Danfoss owns 55.4 percent of Sauer-Danfoss and the Klaus Murmann family owns 21 percent.

The company has 9,800 employees globally - with 5,900 in Europe, 3,200 in the Americas and 700 in the Asia-Pacific region.
