The recent local elections gave a boost to the Socialist People’s, the Danish People’s and the Conservative parties – and these three seem to have maintained their support in the latest national poll.

The Megafon poll for Politiken and TV2 gives the Conservative Party a 1.4 percent improvement on its result at the general elections two years ago, with an increase of 1.1 percent for the Danish People’s Party.

Overall, the poll shows the governing Liberals and Conservatives and their support party the Danish People’s Party a total of 50.8 percent, with the opposition Social Democrats, Social Liberals and Unity List 49.2 percent.

Both the Liberals and Social Democrats return a drop in the poll – the Social Democrats from 25.5 percent to 23.2 percent and the Liberals from 26.3 percent to 23.6 percent.
