The G-77 chief negotiator Lumumba Stanislaus Di-Aiping has walked out of a meeting with the Danish chairmanship of the COP15 Climate Summit overnight, telling TV2 News that ‘Things are not going well’.

Di-Aping had been for an hour-long meeting with the Danish presidency, but chose to walk out of the meeting and delivered a barrage of criticism. It was not clear precisely what caused Di-Aping to leave the meeting in anger.

The issue of industrial nations’ climate funding for the poorest developing countries, however, remains the main bone of contention at the 193-nation Climate Summit.

“This conference will probably be wrecked by the bad intentions of some people,” Di-Aiping tells TV2 News, but declines to go further into detail.

Asked what he believes the Danish government is trying to achieve, Di-Aiping says: “No good”.

Apart from some of the poorer developing countries, the G-77 also includes such countries as China, Indonesia, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Argentina.
