COP15: Obama’s problem – public opposition

An opinion poll shows a majority of Americans against handing out money for developing country climate mitigation.

As President Obama begins his discussions at the COP15 Climate Summit in Copenhagen, a new opinion poll for the Washington Post and ABC News shows that his approval rating on how he is handling climate issues is dropping considerably.

At the same time, the number of Americans opposed to contributions of USD 10 billion per year to help developing countries reduce greenhouse gases, is at 57 percent.
