Suddenly all of the family’s money was gone! A Copenhagen family unsuccessfully turned their sixth-floor flat upside down yesterday evening to try to locate the travel documents and DKK 100,000 in cash they had assembled for a trip to the United States.

Unable to find their valuables, their last hope was the garbage – and rightly enough a family member had mistakenly thrown the package into the garbage chute.

Police were called in to help the family open the building’s garbage collection area, where both money and travel documents were eventually found.
