Police hope that CCTV coverage at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Copenhagen will be able to identify the person who murdered a 42-year-old Norwegian SAS stewardess at the hotel on Monday evening.

“I have never seen a place with so much surveillance,” says Homicide Squad Chief Ove Dahl, adding that police have an approximate time of death at around 8 p.m. on Monday.

The victim was beaten to death, and police expect to be able to find images of the attacker leaving the crime scene, possibly with clothes covered in blood.

The stewardess was murdered in her hotel room but there are no signs of a break-in. A post mortem is due to be carried out today to determine the weapon used in the attack.

The stewardess and a group of her colleagues checked into the hotel at 4 p.m. on Monday. Four hours later witnesses say they heard commotion and loud noises from the room.

Cleaning personnel found the stewardess found dead on the floor of her room on Tuesday morning.
