Danish-produced film gets Oscar

The Danish director Joachim Back’s production The New Tenants has won an Oscar for Best Short Film (Live Action) at the Oscars.

The New Tenants, which is in English, tells the story of two men who experience one of the worst moves of their lives with their new flat hiding a scary story.

“Well, this is just pretty much amazing and I just want to say thanks to everybody who's been on this project and to our beautiful cast and my producer Tivi,” Back said in his speech of thanks.

The New Tenants, produced by M&M Productions and Park Pictures, won ahead of of The Door by Juanita Wilson and James Flynn, Instead of Abracadabra by Partik Eklund and Mathias Fjellström, Kavi by Gregg Helvey and Miracle Fish by Luke Doolan and Drew Bailey.
