Denmark’s new Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has appointed his new cabinet, according to a release from the prime minister’s office.
Former Employment Minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen (Lib) has, as expected, been appointed to the finance portfolio previously held by Løkke Rasmussen.
Karen Ellemann MP (Lib), the daughter of former Liberal Party Leader and Foreign Minister Uffe Ellemann Jensen, is to be appointed Minister for Home and Social Affairs while the Liberal Party Political Spokeswoman Inger Støjberg MP (Lib) is to be Minister for Employment and Equality.
Other portfolios remain unchanged apart from Welfare Minister Karen Jespersen (Lib) who resigned last Friday.
