Heavy southerly winds with hurricane or storm force gusts have begun reaching Denmark this morning and will be sweeping across the country.
Western and northern regions of Jutland will be hardest hit as a deep low pressure system crosses the region from west to east. The storm will be worst from 8 p.m. to midnight, with the heaviest winds expected to come late in the cycle.
Although Jutland will bear the brunt of the winds, which will gust up to hurricane force, the rest of the country can expect storm force gales which have already begun giving problems on the Øresund Bridge.
The storm will be preceded by heavy rain, which will begin in West Jutland, reach the capital region around noon and Bornholm late in the afternoon.
