Police are warning that a new spate of gang warfare may be on the way and have been searching gang member houses in an attempt to prevent an outbreak of violence.
“Zealand police have been searching several addresses in Roskilde, Hedehusene and Copenhagen,” Copenhagen West Police say in a news release, adding the operation has been carried out in cooperation with the National Investigation Centre, SKAT and Gang task Force East.
“We unfortunately haveindications that a conflict is under wayt,” says Supt. Kim Kliver of Task Force East.
“But today’s operation has been carried out to send gang members a clear signal – that we will not accept a violent conflict that puts neighbours and the general population in danger,” he adds.
