The Foreign Policy Spokesman for the Danish Socialist People’s Party says it may be necessary at some point to discuss deploying humanitarian aid protection forces in Libya.
“This may be something that has to be discussed at some point. We have been somewhat sceptical about solely an air operation. If it becomes necessary to get on the ground, we are open to the idea. We don’t say we support the idea, but we are prepared to discuss it,” SPP Spokesman Holger Nielsen tells Berlingske, adding he can envisage such a situation if troops loyal to Col. Gaddafi deploy into Benghazi.
