Bjerregaard is referring to shots fired through the windows of a flat during a party in the suburb of Brønshøj, and another shooting episode at the Blaagards Plads library in the inner city.
“Denmark has become a country where we hear about shooting episodes every week. It is incomprehensible that people in Copenhagen are having to get used to firearms in circulation, and not least that they are used. There is no good reason to have guns in Copenhagen – or any other place for that matter. We need a national action plan,” Bjerregaard told national daily Berlingske Tidende.
