Finance Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen (Liberal) says “Denmark is doing well” in his presentation of the 2009 Finance Bill today, but adds that Danes will have to be prepared for lower growth.
Need for reform
“Since 2001, and in cooperation with the Danish People’s Party, we have made Denmark basically fit,” says Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
“At the same time we must be honest and accept that we are approaching the limit of capacity for the Danish economy,” the finance minister says adding that labour market reforms are on the way in order to move the economy forward again.
