Case about false residence permits to court

After a three-and-a-half year investigation, the court case begins on Thursday against two former Foreigners Directorate civil servants charged with issuing false residence permits to 72 Chinese students.

A 41-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman are to appear in the Copenhagen District Court charged with issuing false documents and the abuse of their official positions. The prosecution contends that the two were responsible for furnishing Chinese students with residence permits they were not entitled to.
