The discovery of dead narwhals at a hunting site in eastern Greenland is to be investigated by national police.
Pictures from the area show two narwhal calves among the dead mammals, despite the fact that there is a ban on hunting calves and lactating sows throughout Greenland. A ban is also in place on leaving edible or usable parts of whales at hunting grounds.
