Latest figures from Statistics Denmark show that the Consumer Price Index in August rose 4.3 percent compared with the same period last year.

Record Foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages have risen most over the past year. Overall, foodstuff prices have risen by 10.4 percent, while July saw 10.2 percent, giving the highest annual rise in foodstuff prices since May 1984.
