Officers were at their wits end on the Southern Jutland Motorway during the night as they tried to shoo a confused cow off the fast lane to Europe. After a four kilometre chase, with the animal refusing to get off the busy road, officers were forced to shoot the animal.
“It’s difficult to close off the motorway completely, and as motorists did not slow down despite our warnings, it was a dangerous situation,” the Duty Police Officer says.
