Christiania has delivered a compromise proposal to the government on the future of the free town, according to Berlingske Tidende.
The text of the proposal to Finance Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen suggests that inhabitants of the area are prepared to move disputed houses on the embankment surrounding Christiania. The proposal also calls for the setting up of an independent controlling body to ensure an open and impartial distribution of buildings in the area.
