Møller Hansen made his mark on Danish politics in the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as the outspoken chairman of the Danish Seamen’s Union. Originally a member of the Communist Party from which he was excluded in 1979, Møller Hansen founded the anti-EU Common Course Party in 1986, sweeping briefly into Parliament for a single term with four mandates.
Provocative Best known for his often outlandish and provocative left-wing speeches – both inside and outside Parliament – Møller Hansen eventually left politics to run several traditional pubs and restaurants in Copenhagen. In 2000 he published Den danske kogebog (The Danish Cookbook).
