A.P. Møller-Mærsk may have harvested criticism for its oil effluent in the North Sea, but one of its subsidiaries – Mærsk Line – seems to lend credence to the company’s recent announcement of a new green profile.
Mærsk Line’s goal is to reduce the CO2 emissions from major container vessels by 10 percent by 2012. According to the company’s Head of Safety and Health Joseph Nazareth, energy efficiency provides the answer to the challenges of environmental improvement.
