Vestjysk Bank and Ringkjøbing Bank plan to create the country’s largest local banks by merging today, according to a statement to the Stock Exchange.
The new bank will be called Vestjysk Bank and is to be run ‘in keeping with a business principle that is solidly founded in western Jutland virtues, healthy business principles and with a conservative credit policy,” the banks say.
