The government’s own inquiry into allegations that the American intelligence agency CIA used Danish and Greenland airspace for its rendition flights is taking more time than promised.
Foreign Minister Per Stig Møller promised back in January 2008 that the inquiry would be finished before the summer recess. Before the summer recess he said that work would be finished before Parliament reconvenes next Tuesday. Now the Foreign Ministry says that the inquiry will not report until ‘just after the autumn vacation’.
