Modern battle choppers are not going to be part of Denmark’s future defence, at least if it’s up to Defence Minister Søren Gade, according to Berlingske Tidende.
“Battle helicopters can’t be used for surveillance, rebuffing or transport purposes. They can only be used to kill a lot of people. That’s also useful on some of the missions we undertake. But I don’t think they are something that the Danish mentality or Parliament think want to use money on. So battle choppers are a no go as far as I’m concerned,” says Søren Gade.
