Belarussia EU foreign ministers have issued a six-month suspension of the ban on Belarussia’s President Lukashenko visiting EU countries. During that period, the EU is expecting movement on Belarussia’s road to reform.

Lithuania Lithuania’s conservative Fatherland Union seems to have been the main victor of the Lithuanian elections with 18.5 percent of the vote. The National Renewal Party took 15 percent and the Law and Order Party 13 percent. The Social Democrats dropped to 12 percent. A second round of voting takes place on October 26.
