EU Despite some question as to how the finance crisis has affected the EU’s climate goals, Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen says the result of Wednesday’s discussions are at least not a step backwards. He says the climate package is still on track despite an agreement that all countries must agree on the goals for them to take effect. Eastern and Central European countries as well as some Western ones are wavering.
Cambodia Cambodia and Thailand have entered into an informal ceasefire in a disputed small religious area on the border between the two countries.
