A mere week after Danske Bank put its interest rate up by 0.5 percentage points, the bank has decided to land another interest hike on its customers. This time the rate has been raised by up to 0.75 percentage points.
The bank justifies its interest policy with ‘the generally increased costs of financing’ – that is, the bank’s own costs in borrowing money, as well as the surprise interest hike by the central bank Nationalbanken last week.
