According to the latest figures from the unemployment insurance funds, an increasing number of people are applying for unemployment benefits. 3F, which is the country's largest fund, reports an increase of 1,000 applications in September compared with August.
In seasonally adjusted figures, 3F now has 12,541 people on unemployment benefit compared with 11,513 in August.
