A Danish Battle Group in Helmand Province and the Afghan National Army have begun a clean-up offensive in the Upper Gereshk Valley some 20 kilometres northeast of Gereshk, according to Army Command Headquarters.
The offensive is designed to dislodge a stronghold from which the Taliban has been able to launch operations against ISAF forces.
