Region Midtjylland (region central Jutland) is having to give up its plans to employ more Indian specialist doctors because unreasonable criticism from Danish doctors will make it impossible to attract more doctors from India, according to Regional Council Chairman Bent Hansen.
In Berlingske Tidende, the Chairman of the organisation of Region Midtjyllands Chief Physicians Lars Bolvig Hansen criticises the Region for having attracted 31 Indian specialists who, according to Hansen, cannot work as independently as Danish doctors since they are forced to take examinations in order to receive a Danish licence to practice.
