The central bank Nationalbanken, the Danish Insurance Association and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority have agreed a package to help the mortgage bond market which is under pressure due to the finance crisis.

The new agreement is expected to calm the mortgage market by introducing new rules for the sector, reducing the need for institutions to sell their bonds.
