Parliament will be discussing a proposal today to strengthen the Danish contingent to the international forces in Afghanistan. That discussion, however, will be taking place to a backdrop of plummeting popular support for Danish involvement.

According to a Gallup poll in Berlingske Tidende at the weekend only 46 percent of Danes support Danish involvement compared with 53 percent six months ago.
