The Managing Director of the Royal Danish Theatre Michael Christiansen has been appointed Chairman of the Danish broadcasting corporation DR today.

Christiansen takes over from former DR Chairman Mogens Munk-Rasmussen who left the board as a result of DR's financial problems stemming from the construction of the Ørestad site.
