A report due out today from the National Police Commission shows that police officers had to draw batons almost twice as often in 2007 as in 2000. Batons were drawn 407 times last year compared with 256 times in 2000.
Authority Deputy Chief Superintendant Flemming Steen Munch of the Copenhagen Police says he is not surprised at the increase.
