The Consumer Council, the Consumer Ombudsman and advertising distributors have finally reached a voluntary agreement to allow consumers to decide whether or not they want snailspam jammed into their letterboxes.
The agreement means that as of April 30, 2009 consumers will be able to mark their letterboxes with one of two stickers - one saying 'no thank you' to advertising, and the other saying 'no thank you' to advertising and free newspapers.
