The Danish military has decided to cancel an unfulfilled and dated order for cluster bombs from a U.S. producer and is expected to scrap launchers that have already been delivered, according to Berlingske Tidende.
The cluster bomb system developed into a Catch-22 after Denmark banned the purchase and the United States the sale of cluster bombs. So even if Denmark agreed to take delivery of its order - which it cannot - the United States would not permit the order to be filled.
