Mentally ill patients are abused in being strapped in for longer periods in Danish psychiatric wards and personnel at the hospital containing the most serious psychiatric patients use illegal force, according to the conclusions of the European Torture Committee, which visited two hospitals in February.
In a report on Denmark, the Committee says that limitating the use of force should be a government priority.
