The Social Democrats and the Socialist People's Party have officially summoned Justice Minister Brian Mikkelsen (Cons) to explain himself in the case of former Security and Intelligence Service (PET) Chief Jørgen Bonnichsen who has taken part in the public debate.
Justice Spokesperson Karen Hækkerup (SocDem) also wants the minister to stop a Danish People's Party smear campaign against Bonnichsen and to address criticism that the minister has come close to abuse of power. The Danish People's Party is the minorioty government's safety net in Parliament.
