The government has prepared a new incentive package for Danish banks to involve supplemental capital for banks but without having a hand in running financial institutions.
"If the state is going to shoulder the task of lending money to healthy institutions, it is important that we do it by providing capital but without trying to suggest to people that we are running banks," says Economy and Trade Minister Lene Espersen (Cons).
